So we need to improve…quickly.

You NEED a great mid-range. So here are 5 to help you amp up your disc golf game game:

The Top 5 Best Disc Golf Mid-Range Discs!

1. Discraft BuzzzBest disc golf mid range discs

To this day, I’m convinced that the Buzzz is the best mid-range disc ever made. It’s a phenomenally straight and highly versatile mid-range that will usually hold any line it is put on. Most disc golfers will benefit tremendously from the Buzzz, as it is a great disc for just about any skill level. It has flight ratings of 5, 4, -1, 1, which means it’s easy to throw and will do what you want.

Even though it’s not my favorite mid-range, I’ve pretty much bagged a Buzzz my entire disc golf career and have used this disc A LOT. In fact, I just bought a really nice-looking newer Buzzz in the ESP plastic and this thing flies really nice.

If you’re looking for a mid-range that can do just about anything for you, grab a Buzzz here on InfiniteDiscs.com.

2. Innova Mako3Best disc golf mid range discs

For those who were a fan of the original Mako absolutely love the Mako3. So much so that this disc has actually been WAY more popular than the original. I’ve known for a while that this was a great disc, but I had no idea it was one of the most popular mid-ranges ever. I thought it was a top 10 at best, but reviews of the Mako3 don’t lie.

The Mako3, with flight ratings of 5, 5, 0, 0, offers stability to all levels of disc golfers. First off, this is the perfect disc for beginners. Newer players will find it incredibly easy to throw, while more advanced disc golfers will love its versatility and consistency. This can also make a great tunnel shot disc if you’re looking for something to hit those super tight gaps.

If you let it, the Mako3 has the potential to be your go-to mid-range disc. If that’s what you’re looking for, grab a Mako3 here on Discgolfunited.com.

3. Dynamic Discs EMac TruthBest disc golf mid-range

Overall, I’m a huge fan of Dynamic Discs. Working full-time in law enforcement myself, I love the law-and-order theme of their discs. But it’s more than that. For some reason, their discs just fly really well for me. And they feel great in my hands. It’s no wonder my two favorite discs are the Sheriff (distance driver) and the Judge (putter). I like the EMac Truth a lot, but it’s actually one of my least favorite discs from Dynamic. Not taking anything away from the EMac Truth because it’s a really great disc regardless.

For those who like the original Truth, this disc will offer you just a little bit more stability. It’s tougher to throw, but not by much. Brand new players will probably like the original disc better, while intermediate and advanced players will benefit from the increased stability of the EMac Truth.

The original Truth has flight ratings of 5, 5, -1, 1, whereas the EMac Truth rocks flight ratings of 5, 5, 0, 2. So if you’re a newbie, and you choose the EMac Truth, don’t be surprised by the fade you get on the back end of your throw. This is a very predictable disc if you’re used to it.

If you’re looking for something to help you shape shots or become your go-to mid-range, the EMac Truth might be for you. Grab one here on InfiniteDiscs.com.

4. Innova Roc3Best disc golf discs

The Roc3 could honestly be a little higher up on this list based on notoriety alone. As for popularity, there are A LOT of disc golfers that like the Roc3. Enough so that I’d say it’s probably the most talked about mid-range other than the Buzzz. Flight ratings show 5, 4, 0, 3, so this disc is fairly overstable. But nothing that most decent players can’t handle.

The original Roc is a beloved disc. Some players still swear by it. But others have transitioned to the Roc3, which is just a touch faster (Roc3 is 5 speed whereas the Roc is only 4). Innova claims that this is the perfect disc for backhand drives between 270 and 350 feet. Now I’m not a Roc expert, but that sounds fairly reasonable, considering the overstability.

If you need an “everything” mid-range, the Roc3 is that disc. Grab one here on Discgolfunited.com.

5. Dynamic Discs VerdictBest dynamic discs disc golf dis

What’s the Verdict? Well, this disc has cracked my top 5 list by being an amazing mid-range. Yep, at #5, I’ve got the Dynamic Discs Verdict – a very overstable, yet extremely reliable and consistent disc for advanced players.

Newer players should steer clear, because this disc requires quite a bit of speed and torque to fly correctly. With flight ratings of 5, 4, 0, 3, it’s not hard to handle once you’ve got some throwing experience.

If you need a fantastic overstable mid, grab a Verdict here on InfiniteDiscs.com.

So that’s it!

A great mid-range disc can be a game changer. So don’t take these disc choices for granted. Learn the game and find which of these awesome mid-ranges can help you improve your skills quickly and efficiently. Exactly what you need as a disc golfer.
