Dynamic Discs has risen to disc golf fame so fast, it’s almost criminal. I mean, over the past two decades, Dynamic has built one of the biggest disc golf companies in the world. That company has helped to shape disc golf, even though their theme and disc names have sparked controversy and offended a small group of people.
With disc names like Felon, Convict, Sheriff, Judge, and Evader, their discs run the gamut of law enforcement-inspired theme names. Most players love these discs and their plastic, which almost always performs well.
Personally, this is my favorite theme of discs (because I work in law enforcement for my full time job). That’s why I wanted to bring you the best of the best when it comes to their lineup.
So in this post, we’ll talk about the following:
- A quick history of Dynamic Discs
- Why you should choose Dynamic Discs and…
- The 13 best Dynamics Discs disc golf discs of all-time!

Quick history of Dynamic Discs
According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of dynamic is: “marked by usually continuous and productive activity or change.” That’s Dynamic Discs in a nutshell.
Dynamic Discs was founded in 2005 by a young guy named Jeremy Rusco, when he was a college student, in order to pay for his newfound hobby – disc golf. While attending Emporia State University, Jeremy would buy discs, place cool stickers on them or dye them, and then sell them on eBay.
The idea was simple: buy plastic, find a way to make it look cooler, and then make a little bit of extra money to pay for more discs and gear. Mission accomplished and then some.
Over the next couple of months, Dynamic earned their name. According to their website, “the growth was constant and exponential, and eventually, it was too much work for Jeremy to handle by himself.”
As the years passed, Jeremy and the Dynamic Discs team expanded the company into professional sponsorships, clothing and apparel, and a couple of Disc Golf World Championships. Dynamic Discs was now a major player in the sport of disc golf.
Over the past two decades, their continued commitment to both disc golfers and the sport of disc golf is highly commendable. Because of that, Dynamic Discs has grown into one of the biggest names in all of disc golf. And once you check them out, you’ll soon see why, too.
Why you should choose Dynamic Discs
1. A complete lineup of discs: the 13 discs below are fantastic discs, but they don’t completely represent the entire Dynamic Discs lineup. Aside from Innova and Discraft (and maybe Infinite Discs), Dynamic Discs is the only other company that has a fully complete lineup of discs for literally any situation on the course. Take advantage of all those choices!
2. Discs for all skill levels: a complete lineup of discs means discs for all types of throws AND all types of throwers. Dynamic Discs offers an excellent selection of plastic for beginners, intermediate players, and advanced throwers.
3. Player-tested and highly-reviewed: just having a large selection of discs doesn’t mean that a disc golf company is going to have good quality plastic. But over time, Dynamic Discs has grown to become the favorite brand of A LOT of disc golfers. There are a bunch of different brands now. However, Dynamic Discs’ quality and consistency over 45 plus years speaks to their dedication to the sport of disc golf. It also helps to have sold millions of discs and to have thousands and thousands of high reviews all over the internet!
Dynamic Discs simply puts the disc golfer first and cares about their product. So let’s check out 13 of their best discs below:
The 13 Best Dynamic Discs Disc Golf Discs of All-Time!
The Judge is my all-time favorite disc golf putter. I’ve had one since the beginning of my disc golf career and it hasn’t ever let me down. It hugs the chains and feels great as a throwing putter as well.
The Escape is another super popular disc from Dynamic that offers A LOT for disc golfers in need of a great control driver. This stable driver is easy to throw, with a speed of only 9, and can provide disc golfers with consistent fairway shots and decent distance on wide open drives.
If that’s what you’re looking for, grab one here on InfiniteDiscs.com.
The Trespass is an insanely fun, very highly underrated distance driver. Underrated because of its distance potential. That means easy distance with low effort. Fun because of its versatility on a variety of shots including: long drives, hyzer flips, forehand drives, and straighter tunnel shots. It might read as -0.5, 3 turn and fade, but this disc is perfect if those other distance drivers are too fast or overstable for you.
I like the EMac Truth A LOT. And while the original Truth is a great disc, Dynamic upped their game with the Eric McCabe version – making it just a bit more stable – which gives it its own unique flight path.
The EMac Truth still gives you the accuracy to hit any line, and an insane amount of glide for more distance, but with a great, predictable ending fade. That little bit of extra stability makes the EMac Truth better than the original disc, in my opinion.
The Felon isn’t super hard to throw, but does have considerable fade on the back end.
I’ll let Dynamic Discs sum it up for you: “Crafted in response to the unforgiving Kansas winds, the Felon is the wind-fighting fairway driver that your bag is calling for. It will continue to sail, without turning over, despite that headwind. When the wind is down, it has an incredibly predictable hyzer finish. When you are facing a low ceiling shot where you need good glide and a strong finish the Felon is your answer.”
If that’s what you need, get a Felon here on InfiniteDiscs.com.
The Warden is the beadless version of the Judge, which sits a little bit higher on this list at #1. I personally like the Judge better because of the bead, but if you prefer beadless, the Warden is the disc for you. Both awesome discs but just personal preference, really.
The Justice is a really interesting disc. Check out what Dynamic Discs has to say about it: “Strong winds will make the most experienced player look like a novice. They have forced us back into the laboratory to solve the midrange question. Our tests have led us here. The Justice is served. The Justice by Dynamic Discs is going to become your new utility disc. It will not turn over. Throw the Justice one time and you will not need to reach for anything else for a short distance, overstable answer.”
If that’s what you need, grab one here on InfiniteDiscs.com.
The Verdict is yet another very overstable mid-range. Funny story about the Verdict: the original prototype versions of this disc were stamped with “Truth” on the backside. That’s because this disc was originally going to be the Dynamic Discs Truth. But Dynamic decided that the Truth needed to be a “True” straight flier. So this disc got renamed and became the Verdict. So what’s the verdict? This is an awesome disc.
The Sheriff is one of my favorite disc golf distance drivers. Even though it has a high speed rating of 13, it doesn’t throw like it. I actually started throwing this disc very early in my disc golf career because it always flew fairly straight for me.
The Sheriff was actually my first ever successful tunnel shot. I remember it very clearly. And while it might have been pure luck at that time, that shot has always stuck with me (and the Sheriff has always been in my bag)!
Great understable fairway driver.
Here’s what InfiniteDiscs.com has to say about the Maverick: “The Maverick has a spot in nearly every player’s bag. The Maverick’s smaller rim offers controllable fairway speed and straighter flights for slower arms, with trustworthy anhyzers and slow turns for experienced players. The Maverick is great in the woods with low ceilings and tunnel shots.”
The Deputy is the more understable brother of the Judge. A shallow rim and a mostly straight flight path defines this disc, but may give you a bit of turn if thrown on short drives. Though, you may use this disc mainly for putts.
As one of Dynamic’s newer discs, the Raider doesn’t disappoint. It’s a workhorse driver with decent fade and definitive distance potential for stronger arms. If you need a good disc just a bit faster and more overstable than the Trespass or the Sheriff, the Raider is your disc.
The Getaway is a very interesting disc. It’s an overstable fairway driver, similar to the Raider above in flight ratings, but with less speed and more control. I find it slightly ironic that the Getaway is a control driver, emphasis on “control,” because this disc is easy to throw and won’t normally get away from you during your rounds. But that’s just me. Great disc, though. I think you’ll really like it.
Even though the Evidence is technically retired, you can still buy them (for now). Once these are bought out, I doubt Dynamic will bring them back. If you are able to get your hands on one, this mid-range is phenomenal for hitting straight lines and going where you want it to go. Great overall disc.
Over the past 20 years, Dynamic Discs has grown from a small EBay store, selling one disc a week, to a huge disc golf company with over 30 disc molds, 50 employees, 100 sponsored pro disc golfers, and millions of dollars per year in revenue.
They make good quality plastic and they care about the game of disc golf. Period. So if you’re looking for discs, gear, or other disc golf accessories, look no further. Because Dynamic Discs has you covered.
