Disc golf is a tough sport. And when we play the game, we want to use discs that will best help us master the sport. Discs that really fly and discs that feel good to throw. But it doesn’t always have to be the most popular disc…at least in my opinion.
Now you may want to throw the Zeus, the Buzzz, the Destroyer, or the Aviar. And while those are all really great discs, I prefer to find the most underrated disc golf discs. The discs that aren’t quite as popular, but throw just as well. Today, we’re looking at the 3 discs that I believe are the most underrated in disc golf. Let’s check them out!
The 3 most underrated disc golf discs
1. Dynamic Discs Sheriff
2. Innova Panther
3. Axiom Envy
Why you need these Discs
1. Straight-stable fliers: all of these discs are neutral fliers. I chose them because they all fly extremely straight.
2. The multi-tool: each disc on this list is a multi-tool of sorts, allowing you to flex and shape your shots, be consistent, and fly how you want it to. Each of these discs can be used in a variety of ways giving you a lot of leeway on the course.
3. Great discs: all 3 of these discs are just overall fantastic discs and deserve to be in your bag. If you had just these 3, you could play competitively against any disc golfer in the world.
The 3 most underrated disc golf discs
1. Dynamic Discs Sheriff – Distance Driver (13, 5, -1, 2)
The Sheriff is my all-time favorite disc golf disc. This is truly the multi-tool driver in my bag. Here’s what InfiniteDiscs.com has to say about the Sheriff:
“The Sheriff is a versatile, high-speed disc that is designed to be a tool for many kind of shots and many kind of players. It can be used for long anhyzers, flex shots, straight distance shots, and pure hyzers. The Sheriff can be your go-to disc when both distance and shot-shaping become critical.”
You can get one here on InfiniteDiscs.com.
2. Innova Panther – Mid-range (5, 4, -2, 1)
The Panther is a fun disc. This mid-range, which comes in Innova’s Champion starter set, is a disc that loves to be manipulated. The Panther is one of the best beginner mid-range discs, but can benefit just about any thrower. It’s a mid-range but is able to get a ton of distance and is dependably accurate as well. 3. Axiom Envy – Putter (3, 3, 0, 2)
I love this disc. The Envy is one of those solo disc round practice discs that every disc golfer should have in their bag. Besides being a great putter, the Envy is a masterful disc to approach with and one of the best driving putters in the game. It just feels great in and out of the hand. Grab one here on InfiniteDiscs.com.
